"Extremely smooth casting and reeling. Can work with a wide range of lures. I’ve thrown finesse jigs to big swimbaits with this and it works great for both. Super sturdy and doesn’t have any flex. Only problem I can find is the drag doesn’t have fine adjustments. Yes, it clicks and you can very clearly lower the drag or tighten it but the drag doesn’t make any major changes until the last few clicks on the star. In the last 1/4 of the drag star is where it goes from really loose drag to really tight drag. Be sure not to loosen it too much."

"I’ve been using this for over 6 months, hands down best reel I’ve ever used, I’ve only backlashed this thing once to the point where I’ve had to cut the line at all (not the reels fault, I just slammed it into the water) it casts a quarter mile easy and is the most smooth reel on the market + sounds amazing."

"Better than the Curado K in every way for me. Cast lighter baits much better and seems to be less fussy across the whole weight range. Seems to cast all weights a bit further than the K. I prefer the MGL 150 for most applications, but for 17lb+ flouro applications, this reel is worth consideration. Great big swimbait, Alabama rig, and XD cranking reel."
