This is a great all-around reel for a variety of heavy-duty spinning techniques -- equally at home on a surf rod, tossing baits into a rip, or loaded with braid for sailfish. The 6-washer drag smoothly manages smokin' runs, while the anti-reverse bearing ensures seamless drag engagement. The manual bail trip picks the line up as crisp as can be, and the high-capacity spool is cold-forged, machined, and hard-anodized. Machined-aluminum handle features an ergonomic soft touch rubber knob. And with its incredibly smooth 11-bearing system, the Ocean Master will easily become one of your favorites!

"smooth action, but wow, what a error prone reel! it skips off the spool, as someone else here as noted. even on an under-filled spool, about 1 in 10 times it gets tangled under the spool, and you have to take the whole assembly off to untangle it"
