Bass Pro Shops Extreme Review
With the Bass Pro Shops Extreme Baitcast Reels, you get all the tournament ready technology the big guys depend on, plus the confidence in knowing that your reel is perfectly matched to the kind of fishing you’re into. With six separate performance versions plus three left-hand models, the Extreme series easily covers the widest range of techniques and presentations. The Free Zone Braking System helps you make that perfect cast, regardless of the lure size or wind conditions! Power comes easy with the six-disc Teflon® glass/stainless drag system that cranks out up to 10 lbs. of bass-busting drag pressure. All the power is handled with a smooth 7-bearing system, featuring double shielded stainless steel ball bearings and one Powerlock™ instant anti-reverse bearing. Every Extreme is built on a strong and durable 1-piece aluminum frame with a free-floating machined-aluminum spool and titanium-coated line guide. It's finished off with our Recurve Handle and click star drag that moves the reel’s center of gravity inward for a sleek, balanced feel when reeling in your limit.

Actual Customer Feedback:
"I bought four of these a while back (two of the lite models and two of the standard 6 to 1 models) when they were running a sale. I usually like Quantum baitcasters the best, but I think these are a great value for the money."

"I love ths reel...I've had this reel since July 2009, I use it at least 3 times a week. No problems at all. Very smooth and easy to use. I have the 7.1:1 ratio, great for all kinds of baits.Where I fish I have small strike zones, I like the fast retieve to recast again as much as possible."

"I own 8 of these reels, the problem is that I have had to return almost everyone of of them at some point. I even had to retrun a return. I used to love them and recommend them, not anymore. I continue to have problems with their casting, normally no distance, and back lashes for no reason. I see they have changed the entire high speed mechanism once again. Even some of the new ones have problems."

"I bought one of these reels from the Oklahoma store. It felt realy smooth and it wasnt as expensive as my J.M. Signature Series. I used it twice and on my third outing it started to grind the gears."
